Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting the pharmacist in various pharmacy duties while providing exceptional customer service. This position requires adherence to state and federal regulations, ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications.
Duties:
- Assist the pharmacist in pharmacy practice under direct supervision
- Process over-the-counter orders, fill prescriptions, and maintain accurate documentation
- Deliver outstanding customer service to all patients
- Ensure Pharmacy shelves are well-stocked, clean, and appropriately labeled
- Receive and organize merchandise within the Pharmacy
- Cultivate strong relationships with valued customers
- Manage non-personal pharmacist telephone inquiries and communications with physicians
- Handle manual claims for third-party prescription services efficiently
- Support Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in fostering relationships with the local medical community
- Maintain exterior and interior Pharmacy maintenance, ensuring cleanliness and organization
- Adhere to company policies and procedures while fostering positive relationships with colleagues
- Undertake special assignments and additional tasks as delegated
Skills:
- Proficiency in medication administration and pain management
- Post-residency experience is a plus
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, IV infusion, anatomy, and physiology
- Ability to provide excellent patient care and conduct patient assessments
- Familiarity with pediatrics is advantageous
