Position: General Service Automotive Technician

About the Position:
We are seeking a dependable and motivated General Service Automotive Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience performing routine automotive maintenance and general repairs, takes pride in quality workmanship, and provides professional service to customers.
This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, tire services, brake repairs, and general vehicle inspections while accurately documenting services performed and communicating vehicle conditions and recommended repairs to customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine oil changes and vehicle maintenance
- Inspect, repair, and replace tires
- Perform tire changes, tire repairs, and related tire services
- Perform brake inspections and repairs
- Replace brake pads, rotors, and other brake components as appropriate
- Perform general vehicle inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs
- Accurately document inspection findings, services performed, and recommended repairs
- Explain vehicle inspection results and recommended services to customers in a clear and professional manner
- Follow established repair procedures, safety practices, and manufacturer recommendations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Use shop equipment and tools safely and appropriately
- Complete assigned work efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards
- Work cooperatively with other technicians, service advisors, and management
Required Qualifications
- Previous automotive service or technician experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to perform oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, and brake rotor replacement
- Ability to perform general vehicle inspections and recognize common maintenance and repair needs
- Ability to accurately document vehicle inspections and services performed using written or electronic systems
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle condition, recommended maintenance, and repairs
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions, safety procedures, and manufacturer service information
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work scheduled 10-hour shifts within the shop's hours of operation
Customer Communication
Because this position involves direct communication with customers and requires accurate documentation of vehicle inspections and recommended services, the selected candidate must be able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers and accurately understand and complete job-related documentation and instructions.
The position does not require a particular accent, manner of speech, or language background. Candidates will be evaluated based on their ability to effectively perform the communication and documentation duties required by the position.
Schedule & Availability
Our hours of operation are:
Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM–6:00 PM
Saturday: 8:00 AM–12:00 PM
The position requires availability to work scheduled 10-hour shifts within the shop's operating hours. Saturday availability required based on the shop's scheduling needs.

Pay: $17.05 - $20.00 per hour
