Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Workforce Development Associate to join our team and play a vital role in empowering individuals through comprehensive workforce development initiatives. In this role, you will coordinate and implement programs that support job readiness, skills training, and employment placement for diverse populations. Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver workforce development training sessions tailored to the needs of underserved communities.
- Provide case management support by assessing client needs, creating personalized employment plans, and tracking progress toward employment goals.
- Conduct client interviews, intake assessments, and ongoing mentoring to ensure participants receive appropriate guidance and resources.
- Collaborate with employers, community organizations, and service providers to facilitate job placements, internships, and training opportunities.
- Maintain accurate documentation of participant progress using Microsoft Office tools; prepare reports on program outcomes and client engagement.
- Offer coaching on social skills, workplace etiquette, addiction counseling strategies when appropriate, and other soft skills essential for successful employment.
- Recruit participants through outreach efforts in culturally diverse communities; promote program benefits at community events and partner meetings.
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism in social services or workforce development settings.
- Knowledge of employment & labor law as it pertains to disability rights and workplace accommodations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide coaching, mentoring, training & development, and case management services.
- Strong written communication skills for report writing, client documentation, and program correspondence.
- Experience working with culturally diverse communities and underserved populations; sensitivity to different backgrounds and needs.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications; ability to utilize data management tools for tracking client progress.
- Facilitate several trainings monthly for clients (time management, money management, interview skills).
- Background in addiction counseling, social work, or related fields is highly desirable; experience conducting interviews and client communication is essential.
Qualifications
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Education, Business, or related field
- Experience in case management, workforce development, or employment services
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Valid New Mexico driver's license

Pay: $51,000.00 - $62,000.00 per year
