Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas using appropriate cleaning tools and supplies
- Conduct floor care activities such as sweeping, mopping, buffing, and polishing to maintain a pristine appearance
- Handle janitorial tasks including trash removal, dusting surfaces, disinfecting high-touch areas, and replenishing supplies
- Assist with custodial responsibilities like window cleaning, carpet maintenance, and light maintenance tasks as needed
- Support industrial cleaning projects and facilities maintenance to ensure safety standards are met
- Operate cleaning machinery such as buffers and floor scrubbers efficiently and safely
- Maintain cleanliness logs and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Qualifications
- Prior experience in janitorial or custodial roles is preferred; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques including floor care and buffing procedures
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is advantageous
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety protocols
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to cleanliness and organization
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks involving standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment throughout the shift
