Key Responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance during restorative, cosmetic, and general dentistry procedures
- Assist with crowns, fillings, root canals, extractions, and other dental treatments
- Take diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Fabricate temporary crowns and perform coronal polishing when permitted
- Prepare treatment rooms before procedures and sterilize instruments afterward
- Maintain strict infection control and sterilization standards
- Record clinical notes and assist with electronic charting
- Support efficient patient flow throughout the day
- Educate patients on oral health and post-operative instructions
- Work closely with dentists and team members to ensure an exceptional patient experience
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of chairside dental assisting experience
- Current Arizona Dental Assisting credentials as required
- Experience taking dental X-rays
- Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and instruments
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and patient care abilities
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented attitude
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or similar software
- Coronal Polishing Certification
- Experience fabricating temporary crowns
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Experience in a high-volume general dentistry practice
