Responsibilities
- Plan and facilitate a variety of fun, educational, and recreational activities tailored to different age groups
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children by supervising during activities, transitions, and free play
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote respectful and cooperative conduct among campers
- Provide first aid when necessary, following established protocols to address minor injuries or health concerns
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and campers to foster a welcoming camp community
- Assist with setup, cleanup, and organization of camp spaces to maintain a clean and safe environment
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, tutoring, babysitting, or camp programs is highly preferred
- Knowledge of classroom management techniques and childhood development principles
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Strong skills in behavior management, early childhood education, or special education are advantageous
- Ability to engage children through sports coaching, theater activities, or other creative outlets
- Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude and energetic approach to leadership
- Must be reliable, adaptable, and committed to creating a fun and safe summer experience for all participants
