We are seeking a detail‑oriented and experienced Construction Paralegal.
This role supports attorneys handling complex construction defect and construction litigation matters on behalf of developers, owners, contractors, design professionals, and insurers.
The ideal candidate will have strong litigation support experience, familiarity with Florida construction disputes, and the ability to manage multiple matters in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive litigation support in construction defect and construction-related matters
Draft and assist with pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, and correspondence
Manage document production, review, and organization, including electronically stored information
Assist with preparing case chronologies, factual summaries, and damages analyses
Coordinate inspections, expert involvement, deposition scheduling, mediations, and hearings
Maintain case files, deadlines, and calendars in compliance with court and firm requirements
Cite‑check and assemble motions, exhibits, and trial binders
Communicate with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and court personnel as needed
Support attorneys during mediations, hearings, and trial preparation
Assist with compliance related to Florida construction defect statutes, notices, and procedures
Qualifications
Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience
3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably in construction defect or construction litigation
Strong knowledge of Florida civil procedure and litigation support practices
Experience managing complex document‑intensive cases
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and legal case management systems
Familiarity with e‑discovery platforms is a plus
Excellent organizational, time‑management, and attention‑to‑detail skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
Experience supporting construction defect or multi‑party litigation matters
Familiarity with construction documents (contracts, plans, specifications)
Trial or arbitration support experience
Experience working with experts such as engineers or architects
