We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and cooking of menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate served
- Supervise kitchen staff during service, providing guidance on food handling, knife skills, and food safety practices
- Assist with menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
- Oversee food presentation standards, ensuring dishes are visually appealing and meet restaurant specifications
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety regulations
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate meal service and accommodate special dietary requests or catering orders
- Train new team members on culinary techniques, food industry best practices, and restaurant procedures
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining environments and food industry standards
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food handling safety protocols
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor kitchen staff effectively
- Excellent knife skills and proficiency in meal preparation across diverse cuisines
- Experience in menu planning, catering, and serving in high-volume settings
- Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus
- Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in food presentation and quality control
