Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stonework and Metal Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and restoring stonework and metal structures across various projects. Your expertise will ensure that all masonry and metal components meet safety standards, aesthetic expectations, and durability requirements. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that enhance the integrity and beauty of architectural features, public spaces, and building exteriors.
Responsibilities
- Perform stone masonry work including polishing, shaping, installing, and repairing stone surfaces using hand tools and power tools.
- Apply skills in concrete finishing, plastering, stucco application, caulking, and trim carpentry to achieve high-quality surface finishes.
- Operate heavy equipment safely for lifting and positioning heavy stone or metal components as needed on-site.
- Follow strict safety protocols at all times while working on construction sites or restoration projects to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations.
Skills
- Skilled in the use of hand tools such as polishers, sanders, trowels, as well as power tools including grinders and drills.
- Experience with renovation projects involving stucco application, roofing repairs, framing carpentry, drywall installation, and restoration work.
- Familiarity with building material installation including mortar work for stone or brick joints and caulking for sealing gaps.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to masonry work, metal fabrication, heavy equipment operation, scaffolding building, and site safety procedures.
