Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for assembling electro-mechanical systems and electrical components with precision and efficiency at Cable Masters, Inc. in Phoenix, Arizona. Components, such as power supplies, surge protectors, modems, connectors, terminal blocks, and batteries will be attached to dinrails on custom-designed electrical panels. Many of these components will be connected with custom cable wiring, tie-wraps, screws and clamps. Knowledge of cable wiring and ability to read mechanical drawings is a plus.
Duties
- Assemble electrical components and electro-mechanical assemblies according to detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Use hand tools and power tools to accurately install components.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprint specifications to ensure correct assembly procedures.
- Work with cable wiring with an understanding of hook-up wire components such as connectors, contacts/terminals, ferrules, terminal blocks, heat shrink tubing, sleaving, tie wraps, and adhesive labeling materials.
- Build electrical panels by wiring components for electronics assembly.
- Conduct troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical assemblies using engineering troubleshooting techniques and testing equipment.
- Perform quality inspections on assembled units, ensuring compliance with schematics, and schematics reading standards.
- Double-check your work product as a part of quality control.
Experience
- Experience in electronics assembly and electrical wiring.
- Familiarity with reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and testing instruments.
- Background in mechanical assembly or machining related to electro-mechanical components is a plus.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment focused on electrical panel building or electronics production is preferred.
This is a full-time position. 40 hours per week from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Compensation is negotiable based on your experience.
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
