Veronét Vineyards & Winery in Kings Mountain, NC is looking for engaging and professional bar back associates. Bar back associates are responsible for maintaining a clean and attractive physical setting to reinforce the quality of the brand and supporting the floor associate team to create an elevated experience for all guests.
The winery is open Friday - Sunday, 12pm-6pm. The bar back associate position has standard hours of 10:45am - 6:30pm Saturdays & Sundays, additional hours are available some Fridays, throughout the week for private events, and occasional holiday shifts (Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.) when the winery opens on Mondays. All applicants must be available to work a standard Saturday & Sunday shift regularly September through November.
*Hourly pay rate $10 per hour plus a portion of pooled tips, equivalent to total average pay of ~$18+ per hour*
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver food items to be enjoyed by all guests.
- Restock glassware continually at all bars to ensure sufficient glass and dish items for guests to use.
- Restock wine bottles continually at all bars and fridges to ensure sufficient wine for floor associates to serve.
- Ensure clean, well-organized back bar space for ease of movement and service of the floor team.
- Assist with additional cleaning throughout buildings and estate as needed.
- Display sound judgment and problem solving when issues arise.
- Communicate clearly, respectfully and in a timely manner with employees and management team.
- Follow all company policies, state and federal laws.
Qualifications:
- One or more years of high volume food service experience preferred.
- Must be available to work Saturdays & Sundays consistently.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical/Other Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must be able to bend, squat, climb, push, stoop and crouch repeatedly.
Working Conditions:
- Regular working schedule will include weekends and holidays.
- Long or irregular hours during peak seasons and/or special events, as needed.
- Standing for long periods of time (4-8 hours per day).
- Heavy physical work: moving wine cases, carrying dish racks, carrying trays/bussing bins up and down stairs in outdoor weather, removing 55 gal trash bags, carrying trash bags to trash bins, etc.
- Ability to lift at least 40 pounds (case of wine).
