Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to support our team in the shop and out in the field. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in repair and service of equipment, yard organization and contributing to the overall success of our business. This position requires the ability to transport small equipment or supplies via truck and trailer, heavy lifting and some mechanical applications.
Duties
- Assist the Operations Manager with shop upkeep, yard cleaning and general construction and mechanics.
- Transport materials and/or small equipment to the field.
- Weekly inventory and supply checks for shop.
- Assist Operations Manager with fleet management, this includes equipment, trucks and trailers.
- Our company is an "all hands on deck" type of place. Must be flexible and able to wear many different hats
Skills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to shift gears often.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Mechanical knowledge. Construction experience a plus.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction with team members at all levels.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
