Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and customer-focused Cashier/Barista to join our vibrant team. In this dynamic role, you will be the friendly face that greets customers, takes their orders, and ensures they have a memorable experience. You will handle retail sales transactions, prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, and maintain a clean, welcoming environment. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will be appreciated. We try and treat customers as if they are guests in our home.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using our square POS.
- Prepare and serve high-quality non-alcoholic beverages including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks with precision and care, after being trained.
- Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments efficiently while ensuring accurate cash handling and retail math calculations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food handling stations, beverage prep zones, and seating areas to meet food safety standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, following proper food safety procedures and food handling guidelines.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming environment for all guests.
Skills
- A friendly and welcoming demeanor, and enjoys working with people.
- Previous barista experience with knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and beverage service.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers.
- Food industry experience with understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness standards through regular cleaning routines and food safety compliance.
- Knowledge of beverage service techniques including drink presentation and serving etiquette.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
