Small garden and landscape company is looking for motivated nature lovers to help with garden maintenance and installation of landscape designs:
Blue Earth Gardening is a small (5-8 employee) business of 20 years who is looking for outstanding individuals to help us make our client's gardens beautiful. Our work culture is fun, relaxed, professional, and proud. We are strongly experienced in native plantings, xeroscaping, bee, bird and butterfly habitat, Japanese and cottage gardens, lawn substitutes and more.
General Gardener/Landscaper :
We need efficient, strong, hardworking people to play on our gardening crew! The work consists of weeding, deadheading, mulching, pruning, planting and light landscaping. Person needs to be self motivating and interested in Horticulture. Garden Landscapers are expected to maintain tools, manage time efficiently, and communicate well. They are also expected to be conscientious, project professionalism, be detailed, and notice/troubleshoot problems that may arise in the workday. Gardeners will own their work and feel proud of their accomplishments in a day. There is room to grow at Blue Earth into supervising and managing, client relations, and design.
Applicant Requirements:
-Must have garden maintenance experience through job training, personal, or schooling
-Must have knowledge of many Zone 4 perennials and shrubs
-Must love horticulture and want to learn more about the garden and landscape business.
-Must be self motivated and skillful at detail and finding and creating work
-Must be strong and able to work in adverse weather conditions.
-Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
-Must have good time management skills.
-Must have a happy attitude and the ability to work as a team (And enjoy it!)
Part time and Full time is available, schedules are very flexible. We do require working full days (not partial). We normally begin a day at 7:30 am and can go anywhere from 8 to 10 hours in a workday. Tools are provided to everyone; Uniforms are not required. Staff is required to bring water and food for the day (we travel together in trucks). This work is seasonal from end of March until November (sometimes December). We work in all weather conditions and we must be prepared. This is hard work but very rewarding.
Salary: $22.00+ /hour or more depending on experience
