Our very well-established, exceptionally compassionate hospital is looking for an experienced veterinary receptionist who we are looking to cross-train as a technician assistant. With a team of seven highly-skilled veterinarians and a support staff of 20, we focus on delivering the highest standard of care to every patient.
Our starting pay rate is $17.00 per hour, however, higher compensation will be taken into consideration based your veterinary receptionist experience.
Our receptionists:
- Are familiar with veterinary software and have knowledge of vaccinations for both cats and dogs.
- Make appointments, create invoices, accept payments, and balance the cash drawer.
- Have great interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of the English language, including spelling and grammar.
- Are able to multi-task efficiently and have good computer skills.
- Must be able listen patiently and relay information accurately.
- Must be able to handle emotional and stressful situations with professionalism and compassion, and always be respectful and understanding to our clients and their pets.
- Must be able to gather information and relay the proper course of direction to support staff when there is a medical emergency, to ensure that pets are taken care of immediately by veterinarians when they arrive at the hospital.
- Have the physical strength and ability to be physically active for most of your shift if needed and be able to lift at least 40 pounds without assistance.
Your schedule must be flexible, as shifts vary, however, the schedule for the entire month is made well in advance so that you know exactly when you are working.
