Frederick Moving Company is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Driver to join our team. As a Moving Company Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting household or commercial goods to their destination, while providing excellent customer service throughout the process. This role requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Operate company-owned moving trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload furniture, boxes, and other items onto and off of trucks with the assistance of moving crew members.
- Plan routes and navigate to destinations using GPS or other navigation tools.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure a smooth moving experience.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in proper working condition.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience driving commercial vehicles, preferably in the moving industry, is preferred but not required.
- Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and regulations.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required.
