Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing/Posting/Aging specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage the billing process, ensure accurate posting of payments, and monitor accounts receivable aging to optimize revenue cycles. Your expertise will directly contribute to the financial health of our clients’ practices while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Duties
- Process and post payments from insurance companies, patients, and third-party payers using billing software and EMR/EHR systems
- Review and analyze medical claims for accuracy, ensuring proper coding with CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-10, and coding standards
- Manage accounts receivable aging reports to identify overdue claims and initiate follow-up actions for collections
- Resolve billing discrepancies by coordinating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients
- Maintain detailed documentation of billing activities, adjustments, and collections in medical records
- Stay updated on healthcare claims management regulations, health insurance policies, and medical terminology to ensure compliance
- Support the team with medical record reviews and updates as needed to facilitate accurate billing processes
Qualifications
- Proven experience in medical billing, posting, and aging management within a healthcare setting or medical office environment
- Strong knowledge of medical coding
- Familiarity with billing software, EMR/EHR systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent understanding of healthcare claims management and health insurance processes
- Exceptional customer service skills with a professional approach to resolving billing issues
- Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical records management
