The TRAID Assistant will be responsible for helping the Technology-Related Assistance for Individuals with Disabilities (TRAID) program. This role involves picking up and delivering equipment, performing inventory-related tasks, performing demonstrations, and assisting with outreach efforts.

- Be knowledgeable about different assistive devices to be able to provide demonstrations and training on how to use them properly.
- Maintain a database of all devices and equipment in the Loan Closet and maintain documentation on loans, returns, and donations.
- Maintain contact with external resources to ensure referrals are being made to RCIL.
- Maintain contact with external resources to ensure assistive devices are being donated to our Loan Closet.
- Ensure efficient allocation and utilization of resources.
- Provide direct consumer services, including equipment demonstrations and loans which may include delivering and picking up equipment.
- Secure equipment and assistive technology donations.
- Engage in activities to market and increase community awareness of these services.
- Ensuring completion of project and contract deliverables.
- Engage in and document technical assistance to the community.
- Report any issues to your Supervisor.
- Providing information for reports as requested.
- Other duties as assigned

This position does not have direct reports and regular responsibility for the work of others.

V. WORK CONDITIONS (ENVIRONMENT AND SCHEDULE):
This office-based job operates in a shared office environment with overhead lighting and moderate to light noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Equipment is stored in a warehouse type facility. Assistance may be provided in the community or consumer homes. Some weekend hours may be required for presentations and outreach activities.
VI. Physical Demands AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to drive a lift-equipped van to deliver and pick up equipment. Must be able to lift items and be able to assemble. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Local travel, including driving a lift-equipped van, is required. Some out-of-town travel may be required to participate in work-related meetings, conferences or trainings.
VII. Qualifications:
1. Education and Experience:
- Associate degree in Human Services or related fields.
- At least one year knowledge of community-based services and public benefits.
- Has a strong commitment to promote and advocate for the full integration of individuals with disabilities.
2. Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership, managerial, and project management skills
- Strong personal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Impeccable time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
