American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry (MS/Tele) position at a Magnet-recognized acute care teaching hospital in Rochester, NY, requiring an active NY RN license and Epic experience.

Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00–19:00), with a 13-week contract

Med/Surg Telemetry (MSU) unit within a 528-bed acute care Magnet-recognized teaching hospital in Rochester, NY
-
Patient ratio of 1:5
-
Cardiac monitoring and emergency response required, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
-
Non-invasive airway management, including nasal cannula, oxygen administration, and oxygen tanks
-
IV therapy and phlebotomy with peripheral line care/management; isolation precautions
-
Charting via Epic (required)
-
Every other weekend required
-
Every other holiday required, as needed

Floating required within skillset

Active NY single-state RN license required (NY is not a Compact state; pending licenses not accepted)

Current BLS certification required

Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele nursing experience

Epic EMR experience required

Proficiency in cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation and emergency response

2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration

Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration

Candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible for this position

All time-off and scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial consideration

Scrub color: any combination of navy blue and white

The hospital is affiliated with Cleveland Clinic and Roswell Park, and is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center

Specialized services on site include the Sands-Constellation Heart Institute, Lipson Cancer Institute, Neuroscience Institute, and advanced surgical programs including vascular, thoracic, and surgical oncology
