The Vaquero Club, an upscale golf club located in the private gated community of Vaquero in Westlake is looking for a Valet-Member Services. The best candidate should possess excellent customer service skills and a great attitude.
The Valet/Member Services is the first to welcome members and guests to Vaquero with a friendly smile and warm personal greeting, and the last to say goodbye and thank them for coming. This position provides members with the highest level of service.
Essential Functions
- Opens all car doors and greets members and guests by name as they arrive at the clubhouse
- Acts in a professional manner at all times as the Valet area is seen by everyone and is people's first impression of Vaquero
- Keeps the Valet area clean and stocked at all times
- Communicates with the Main gate to receive all guest names and vehicle types before arrival
- Parks member and guest vehicles in an expeditious manner using the utmost care and caution
- Takes service to the next level by being observant of member and guest needs
- Assists in member services activities as needed and directed by the Member Services Manager
- Passes members and guests to the next area with as much information as possible to other staff
- Assists in the delivery of food for the food and beverage operation whenever needed
- Assists with member transportation whenever needed
- Ensures all personal items such as golf bags, to go food, etc. are in the car and points out their location
- Provides all members and guests with a bottle of water upon their departure
- Other duties as assigned
Education/Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- One year of experience in valet, hospitality or customer service
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate a commitment to customer service
- Basic vehicle knowledge is imperative
- Ability to drive a standard transmission vehicle
- Ability to back a vehicle using mirrors
- Ability to work with a team of professionals
Physical Demands/ Work Environment
- Must be able to stand for an extended period of time
- Must be able to run to retrieve vehicles for members and guests
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to lift 40lbs.
- Must be tolerant of the Texas heat and extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work flexible shifts and extended hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
