Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail services including manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications with precision and artistry
- Apply color theory principles to recommend suitable shades and designs that complement each client’s style and preferences
- Execute advanced nail techniques such as nail extensions, gel overlays, and acrylic application to achieve desired looks
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation, disinfection procedures, and proper sterilization of tools and workstations
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients about their needs, offering advice on nail care, and upselling retail products when appropriate
- Ensure a clean, organized work environment that complies with all health regulations and safety standards
- Stay updated on the latest trends in nail art, techniques, and industry best practices to continually enhance your skills
Skills
- Strong knowledge of color theory and artistic design for creating unique nail art styles
- Experience working with nail extensions, gel manicures, acrylic nails, and other enhancement methods
- Proficiency in performing pedicures and manicure treatments with attention to detail
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols including sanitation, disinfection procedures, and infection control standards
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and understand their preferences
- Background in the beauty industry with experience in esthetic services such as body waxing or eyelash extensions is a plus
- Ability to upsell retail products confidently while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction
- Knowledge of retail math for product sales management
- Certification in cosmetology or related fields is preferred but not required; ongoing training is encouraged
