Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Draftsman/Designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the project designer to produce and review construction drawings for both residential and commercial projects.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in construction documentation, is highly detail-oriented, and is comfortable taking ownership of drawing quality by reviewing and coordinating the work of others.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed technical drawings and construction documents for residential and commercial projects
- Produce accurate 2D and 3D drawings using Revit (AutoCAD experience is a plus)
- Review, redline, and revise drawings prepared by other team members to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all drawings comply with the Florida Building Code and applicable regulations
- Coordinate with designers, engineers, and team members to resolve discrepancies and maintain drawing consistency
- Help maintain drafting standards and improve overall document quality
- Meet project deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy
Qualifications
- Proven experience producing construction drawings for residential and commercial projects
- Proficiency in Revit required (AutoCAD is a plus)
- Strong understanding of construction documents and detailing practices
- Experience reviewing and coordinating drawing sets (QA/QC experience preferred)
- Working knowledge of applicable building codes (Florida Building Code strongly preferred)
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
