Position Summary
Savior Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking an experienced and hands-on IT Manager to lead and support all aspects of information technology across our growing platform.
This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure, vendor management, EHR and practice technology support, compliance, and long-term technology strategy. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, solutions-oriented, and capable of supporting both strategic initiatives and frontline operational needs in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
The IT Manager will play a critical role in ensuring reliable systems, secure infrastructure, and scalable technology solutions that support excellent patient care and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Manage all company-wide IT operations across corporate and remote staff
- Maintain network infrastructure including firewalls, Wi-Fi, VPNs, internet connectivity, and telecommunications systems
- Oversee workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile device deployment and support
- Manage the Microsoft 365 environment, including users, permissions, security policies, and licensing
- Ensure uptime and performance of all critical systems and platforms
- Develop and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, asset inventories, and disaster recovery plans
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Own and maintain the cybersecurity program across the organization, aligned with industry-standard frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF)
- Oversee cybersecurity tools and governance across the organization, including endpoint protection, MFA, email security, phishing prevention, backups, network security, data protection, and access controls
- Own and maintain an annual HIPAA Security Risk Assessment, including a tracked risk register, and ensure HIPAA Security Rule compliance across all technical safeguards
- Coordinate cybersecurity training and awareness for employees
- Support HIPAA compliance and other IT-related regulatory requirements
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, vulnerabilities, and threats
- Partner with cybersecurity vendors and insurance providers as needed
- Develop, maintain, and test an incident response plan
Vendor & MSP Management
- Serve as primary relationship manager for outsourced IT vendors and MSPs
- Hold vendors accountable to SLAs, response times, and project deliverables
- Evaluate and recommend technology vendors, systems, and platforms
- Manage IT contracts, renewals, and technology budgets
Practice Technology Support
- Support and troubleshoot healthcare systems, including:
◦ EHR / practice management systems
◦ VoIP systems
◦ Online scheduling and patient communication platforms
◦ Remote patient engagement tools
- Assist with rollout and support of future technology initiatives, including EHR migrations and automation tools
User Support & Training
- Oversee IT helpdesk support across all locations
- Ensure timely resolution of tickets and technology issues
- Develop training materials and onboarding processes for staff
- Support employee onboarding/offboarding, including device setup and account management
Strategic Technology Leadership
- Develop scalable IT strategies to support company growth
- Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and cost savings
- Participate in leadership discussions regarding systems, reporting, cybersecurity, and operational technology
- Assist with Power BI, reporting infrastructure, and data connectivity initiatives where applicable
Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT management or senior systems administration experience
- Experience supporting multi-location organizations and remote clinical staff
- Experience managing outsourced IT vendors/MSPs
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred, ideally within hospice, home health, or similar clinical environments
- Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and healthcare IT standards
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strong Knowledge Of
- Microsoft 365 administration, including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, and Conditional Access/MFA policies for identity, endpoint, and threat protection
