We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Assistant with at least 1 year of bookkeeping or accounting experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain daily financial transactions in accounting software.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank, credit card, and general ledger accounts.
- Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Support audits and provide required financial documentation.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping principles and accounting practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience working in a small business or corporate environment.
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
