About the Program:
Full-time behavior specialist positions available to join our After School and Summer Program. Our Activity Therapy Program at Macht Village Programs assists children and teens ages 6-18 with emotional and behavioral disorders. Our staff work on creating therapeutic relationships to build trust and confidence in making changes that lead to achieving goals. Services include enhancing daily living skills, social skills, community integration, and emotional regulation. Services are center-based while trying to be as active in the community as possible. The strategy is teaching youth how to survive their current circumstances while having fun and being active citizens in the community.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide direct supervision and positive mentoring during after-school and summer sessions
- Lead and participate in outdoor and recreational activities, sports, community outings, reflection and processing activities
- Ensure safe and consistent transportation of youth to and from the center
- Keep accurate documentation of service delivery
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of staff and supervisors to meet the needs of clientele and families
Who We’re Looking For:
- Passion for working with youth who have emotional or behavioral disorders
- Enjoys being active, hands-on, and engaged — comfortable joining sports, group games, and community projects
- Able to stay calm and professional when clients become frustrated or dysregulated
- Background in human services, education, psychology, or related field preferred, but not required
- Valid WI driver’s license and acceptable driving record required
- Background check required
Schedule:
- During school year: after-school and early evening (approx. 2–7 pm)
- Summer program (June–Aug): daytime hours (10 am–4 pm)
- Please note that this is a year round position

Hiring Requirements:
- Associate or Bachelor's Degree in related field desired but not required (social work, psychology, sociology, education, human services).
- Desire to work with children and teenagers with emotional/behavioral disorders
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor around clients who get frustrated due to diagnoses, environment, trauma, etc.
- Background check is required
- Valid WI driver’s license with acceptable driving record is required
