Position Summary
The Assistant Store Manager drives sales growth by delivering exceptional customer service and supporting all Company performance objectives. This role coaches associates using consistent, documented feedback; maintains visual standards through accurate merchandising and signage; and ensures a clean, well-presented store—while modeling a professional appearance in line with the Company Dress Code Policy.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Sales & Customer Experience
- Lead service behaviors to produce sales gains and support KPIs.
- Model selling and ensure accurate, timely resolution of customer needs.
- Maintain visuals including proper merchandising, signage, cleanliness, and store readiness.
Coaching & Performance
- Deliver documented feedback on sales performance, recognizing strengths and coaching opportunities.
- Set expectations aligned with Company objectives and follow up for results.
- Model professionalism including adherence to the Company Dress Code Policy.
Operations & Expense Control
- Protect Company assets by following Lids policies and best practices.
- Assist with scheduling to provide coverage within wage guidelines.
- Manage inventory processes including receiving, transfers, price changes, and counts with accurate documentation.
- Open and close the store per the Operations P&P Manual and maintain records consistent with policy and law.
- Support and adhere to all Lids policies, procedures, and guidelines.
