Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Refinishing Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, refinishing, and restoring helicopter rotor blades with precision and care. Your expertise will ensure that each blade meets our high standards of quality and safety, contributing to the overall excellence of our repair services.
Duties
- Remove paint, fill/fair and prep rotor blades for paint.
- Ensure all product & documentation are accurate & complete per ACS quality specifications.
- Learns to be proficient on all OEM repair manuals with a complete understanding of Aviation Standard Practices per AC 43-13.
- Ensures that work orders move forward in a timely, cost-effective manner, making changes and adjustments as necessary with direction of Refinishing Department Lead.
- Evaluates & recommends improvements for procedures for quality control of products.
- Maintains safety guidelines/procedures & cleanliness of department at all times.
- Work with other team members to ensure timely completion of work orders.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.

- Strong attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
- Ability to read repair manuals and specifications.
- Ability to perform tasks in a timely manner.
- Proficient with computers and able to use relevant software.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 0-3 years of related experience with surface preparation, masking, and sanding techniques.
- Experience in an automotive or aviation environment preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing, walking and using equipment
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform job duties.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50lbs at a time.
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to perform detailed inspections of work for compliance with specifications.
