About the Opportunity
Are you a skilled MIG/TIG Welder who takes pride in producing clean, quality welds and enjoys working on more than just repetitive production? We are looking for experienced welders to join manufacturing and fabrication environments where your ability to read blueprints, set up your equipment, fit components, and produce quality welds will be valued.
This is a great opportunity for a welder with strong hands-on fabrication skills who enjoys building, assembling, and working with a variety of materials and components. Candidates with experience in MIG and TIG welding, structural or light fabrication, sheet metal, stainless steel, aluminum, or carbon steel are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of components, assemblies, and fabricated products.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
- Set up welding machines and select the appropriate settings, wire, gas, and consumables for each application.
- Fit, tack, and weld components according to specifications and tolerances.
- Perform fabrication, cutting, grinding, deburring, and other related shop duties as needed.
- Weld a variety of materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, depending on the application.
- Inspect completed welds for proper penetration, appearance, dimensions, and overall quality.
- Make adjustments and troubleshoot welding issues to maintain consistent weld quality.
- Use hand and power tools, measuring equipment, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
- Work closely with other welders, fabricators, and production personnel to complete projects on schedule.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
What We're Looking For
- Previous professional experience as a MIG/TIG Welder, Welder/Fabricator, or similar position.
- Ability to produce consistent, quality welds with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of welding processes, equipment setup, and welding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols.
- Experience with fit-up, tack welding, and basic fabrication.
- Comfortable using grinders, saws, plasma cutters, and other common fabrication tools.
- Ability to measure accurately using tape measures, squares, calipers, and other basic measuring tools.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently while also working effectively as part of a team.
- Good understanding of workplace safety and proper PPE requirements.
Preferred Experience
- TIG welding experience on stainless steel or aluminum.
- Experience with sheet metal or light/heavy fabrication.
- Experience welding structural components or mechanical assemblies.
- Experience working from detailed fabrication drawings.
- Previous manufacturing, industrial, or custom fabrication experience.
- Welding certifications are a plus but not required for all positions.
