Job Summary
The Big Tree Inn is looking for a dedicated member of our kitchen team. Serving classic American fare for lunch and dinner, we're seeing a positive, experienced kitchen professional to round out our culinary team.
Responsibilities
- Main responsibilities will be to cook and prepare menu dishes according to published recipes and direction from Chef.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment including workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools by following strict cleaning protocols to ensure food safety standards are met.
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures, including storage, temperature control, and sanitation practices.
- Collaborate efficiently with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a food service environment such as a restaurant or catering setting is required. Please be detailed in your experience when applying.
- Current restaurant hours of operations are Tuesday 4-8pm, Wednesday and Thursdays 12-8pm, Friday and Saturdays 12-9pm with occasional changes due to catering or events. Evening and Saturday availability is required.
- Familiarity with food safety management systems and safe food handling practices is required.
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively with kitchen staff and management is required. Must be able to follow instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail in maintaining cleanliness, safety standards, and consistent food quality.

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
