Job Purpose:
Total Transportation & Distribution is recruiting for Class A drivers (PM) shift, with a minimum of 2 years of experience. If you are tired of spending days away from your family and seeking a better work-life balance, your next opportunity is with TTD.
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class A Driver to join our team. As a Company Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight between terminals, drop-and-hook operations, and Less Than Truckload (LTL) deliveries. We are looking for individuals who have a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and a positive attitude.
Responsibilities:
– Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination, including drop and hook operations
– Transport freight between terminals, customers, and other locations as assigned
– Perform LTL deliveries, including loading and unloading freight
– Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition
– Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations, including hours of service, weight, and size restrictions
– Maintain accurate records, including logs, shipping documents, and other records as required
– Provide excellent customer service, including communicating with customers and resolving issues in a professional manner
– Collaborate with other drivers, dockworkers, and operations personnel to ensure efficient and safe operations
Organizational Relationships:
Has frequent contact and communicates continuously with all levels of employees and customers.
Qualification Guidelines: Good driving record
Experience/Training/Education:
Required: High school graduate or equivalent, plus minimum of 2 years’ experience.
Experience with manual transmission
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Troubleshooting – Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Control Precision – The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
- Multi-limb Coordination – The ability to coordinate two or more limbs while sitting or standing. For example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm.
- Depth Perception – The ability to judge which of several objects is closer or farther away from you, or to judge the distance between you and an object.
- Spatial Orientation – The ability to know your location in relation to the environment or to know where other objects are in relation to you.
- Arm-Hand Steadiness – The ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- Finger Dexterity – The ability to make precisely coordinate movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects.
- Manual Dexterity – The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.
- Trunk Strength – The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.
- Problem Sensitivity – The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Have proven ability to prioritize and organize
- Be professional and flexible with changing situations
- Be able to work with minimum supervision

Physical and Environmental Elements:
This is primarily a position that is conducted in an enclosed vehicle and involves sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, pushing, and lifting objects manually or with a dolly or pallet jack. Uncontrolled temperature conditions when outside and controlled temperature conditions inside the vehicle. No direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.

This position is fully onsite at our Rancho Cucamonga, CA location and has a pay range of $27.00-$29.00 per hour. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
