Job Overview
This position supports project teams by identifying installation issues early, maintaining accurate records, coordinating equipment and system readiness activities, and helping reduce risk to startup, commissioning, and owner turnover. The role is intended to improve consistency, quality, and execution across mechanical project delivery.
Duties
- Perform routine site walkdowns of HVAC and plumbing installations.
- Verify installations align with approved drawings, specifications, submittals, manufacturer requirements, and project standards.
- Inspect equipment upon delivery and document condition, serial numbers, and deficiencies.
- Confirm equipment labeling, valve tagging, and pipe identification are complete and accurate.
- Review installations for workmanship, accessibility, service clearances, and maintainability.
- Document deficiencies, punch list items, and field observations.
- Track issues through completion and verify corrective actions have been completed.
Work Environment
This position is primarily field-based and requires routine presence on active construction sites. The role may involve climbing ladders, walking long distances, working in mechanical spaces, and performing inspections in varying site conditions. Appropriate personal protective equipment is required at all times in accordance with project and company safety requirements.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
