Position Overview
Marigold Apartments is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our multifamily apartment community. This role is critical to ensuring apartments are well-maintained, turns are completed efficiently, and the property remains clean, safe, and operational for residents.
This position is ideal for a hands-on technician with prior apartment maintenance experience who is comfortable performing a wide range of make-ready and repair tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform make-ready/turnover work on vacant units, including:
- Interior painting
- Sheetrock/drywall repair and patching
- Basic carpentry
- Complete minor electrical and plumbing repairs (outlets, fixtures, switches, faucets, toilets, disposals, etc.)
- Service and troubleshoot PTAC units, including basic diagnostics and filter changes
- Respond to and complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with preventive maintenance and routine inspections
- Maintain property grounds and common areas, including trash pickup, light landscaping, and cleanliness
- Coordinate with vendors when needed and assist during larger repairs
- Follow safety procedures and maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas
- Document work performed using property management or work order systems
Required Qualifications
- Prior multifamily maintenance experience is required
- Strong make-ready skills including paint, drywall, and general repairs
- Working knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing systems
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with PTAC units a plus but not required
- Experience with Class B/C apartment communities
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus, but not required
