Job Summary:
Milwaukie Lumber Company is looking for a detail-oriented and proactive individual to join our Vancouver team.
This position combines inventory control, product maintenance, purchasing support, and merchandising. The ideal candidate enjoys working with data and systems but also takes pride in maintaining organized, well-stocked, and visually appealing displays throughout the store.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Control
- Monitor inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts
- Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies
- Maintain item information, pricing, barcodes, and location codes
- Assist with inventory transfers between locations
- Monitor stock levels and help prevent outages
- Support annual inventory counts
Purchasing & Product Maintenance
- Assist with vendor replenishment programs and ordering
- Maintain accurate product and pricing information
- Review reports and identify inventory issues or opportunities
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, operations, and accounting teams
Merchandising
- Maintain attractive and organized product displays
- Set up signage, promotional displays, and new product introductions
- Ensure products are properly labeled and priced
- Help improve the overall appearance and shopping experience of the store
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who notices details, enjoys solving problems, and takes ownership of their work. The ideal candidate is comfortable using technology, working with data, and managing multiple projects while also maintaining a strong focus on store presentation and customer experience.
Experience in inventory control, merchandising, purchasing, hardware, lumber, building materials, or distribution is preferred but not required.

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
