Overview
We are seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role focuses on supporting toddlers through a critical stage of growth and development. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment that encourages exploration, independence, and joyful learning.
Responsibilities
- Toddler Curriculum Planning — Develop and implement engaging, age‑appropriate lesson plans that support early literacy, foundational math concepts, motor development, and social‑emotional learning.
- Classroom Environment — Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom that promotes curiosity, independence, and hands-on exploration.
- Daily Toddler Routines — Lead consistent routines including circle time, sensory play, meals, naps, toileting support, and outdoor activities.
- Positive Behavior Guidance — Use developmentally appropriate behavior management techniques to support emotional regulation, cooperation, and conflict resolution.
- Inclusive Teaching Practices — Implement early intervention strategies and adapt activities to meet the needs of children with varying developmental levels.
- Family Communication — Build strong relationships with families through regular communication, progress updates, and developmental conferences.
- Documentation & Assessment — Maintain accurate records of lesson plans, developmental milestones, assessments, and required documentation.
Qualifications
- CDA or ECE Degree — Must hold a CDA Infant/Toddler Credential or a degree in Early Childhood Education.
- Toddler Classroom Experience — Minimum 2 years of experience working specifically in a toddler classroom setting.
- CPR/First Aid Certification — Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
- TB Test — Must provide proof of a current TB test in accordance with licensing regulations.
- Classroom Management Skills — Ability to maintain structure, guide transitions, and support a calm, organized learning environment for active toddlers.
- Physical Stamina — Ability to lift children, sit on the floor, bend, stand for extended periods, and actively engage in toddler play.
- Inclusive Teaching Practices — Commitment to supporting children of all abilities, backgrounds, and learning styles through developmentally appropriate and inclusive approaches.
- Knowledge of Licensing Standards — Familiarity with state childcare regulations, safety protocols, documentation requirements, and compliance expectations.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
