Summary
As an Endoscopy Technician, you will be integral to the healthcare team, assisting in diagnostic evaluations and procedures. Reporting to the Charge Nurse, you will be responsible to utilize your core skills in physiology, anatomy, and medical imaging to ensure patient safety and comfort. Your expertise in aseptic technique and medical terminology will be essential in maintaining a sterile environment. Additionally, holding a BLS Certification, you will be prepared to respond to emergencies, contributing to high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include:
- Assists the physician with endoscopic procedures
- Assists with ensuring the center is properly prepared for the daily schedule
- Sterilization of equipment and high-level disinfection
- Cleaning the surgical suite between cases
- Opening of sterile packs, instruments, and supplies. Ensuring a clean environment is maintained throughout the procedure.
- Preparing for the set-up of all procedure cases.
- Ensuring surgeon identifies and describes surgical specimen prior to its placement in the specimen jar.
- Reporting and troubleshooting of all broken or defective supplies or equipment.
- Checking and restocking the center.
- Operates and maintain documentation for Medivator + Autoclave
- Assesses the condition of all equipment, instruments, and accessories on a daily basis and reports any irregularities to the Nurse Manager.
- Coordinates rooms and scopes according to daily schedule.
- Properly disposes of contaminated waste following Standard Precautions and OSHA regulations.
- Takes an active role for identifying issues for quality improvement.
MUST have BLS certification.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
