Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Commercial Driver to join our team. This role involves operating various types of vehicles to transport freight and equipment safely and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles, including trucks and freight carriers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards
- Assist with heavy equipment operation and automotive repairs when required, supporting maintenance tasks as neede
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, documentation, and reports for each trip
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or damage during transportation and loading activities
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience
- Knowledge of freight handling, securing loads, and transportation regulations
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and excellent communication skills
- Prior experience in commercial driving or logistics is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
