Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide personalized support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in memory care, long-term care, and working with individuals with disabilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety and comfort, and promoting their overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects.
- Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure client safety.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Support clients with meal preparation and nutrition management.
- Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to family members or healthcare professionals.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for clients.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, including dementia care strategies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in caregiving or direct support roles is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care techniques and long-term care practices is essential.
- Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to perform light housekeeping duties as needed to maintain a clean environment.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others are crucial for success in this role.
