American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with 2+ years of experience and trauma level 2 or 3 background for a 13-week night shift contract in a Critical Care setting in Marshfield, WI.

Acute care hospital setting at a Level 2 Trauma Center
-
Critical Care unit serving all adult inpatient units, the ED, and pediatric patients in the ED
-
12-hour night shifts (1830–0700), 3 shifts per week
-
Every third weekend required
-
Every other holiday required
-
Variable schedule (mix of days and nights) may be available upon request
-
Off-shift call (1900–0400) is occasionally needed but voluntary to maintain safe staffing minimums; call response time is 1 hour

No floating required

Charting system: Cerner (transitioning to Epic)

Current RRT credential via NBRC
-
Active Wisconsin Respiratory Therapist license required by start date (note: WI RT license can take 6–8 weeks to obtain); license required if applicable

Current AHA certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP
-
Minimum 2 years of RT experience

Critical care experience required

Trauma Level 2 or 3 experience required

2 references required for consideration: 1 supervisor reference within the last 12 months of relevant experience, and 1 peer or supervisor reference from the same specialty within the last 3 years

Performs ABGs and CBGs in intensive care units

Provides EKG coverage overnight and as needed
-
Assists with intubation; may independently place a laryngeal (King) airway during code blue situations
-
Respiratory equipment includes: Servo U, Servo I, PB840, Hamilton T1 ventilators; V-60, V-30, and ResMed BiPAP/CPAP devices; Vapotherm high-flow; INOmax Plus, oscillators, cough assist, and Volara
-
Neonatologists and hospitalists are in-house 24/7; intensivists are in ICUs 24/7

Supported by an RT system director, RT manager, on-site supervisor, and a lead RT assigned to each shift

Orientation consists of an orientation express session with leadership followed by 3–4 days on the floors

Any color scrubs are acceptable; supportive footwear is encouraged

Travel duos are accepted, though scheduling cannot be guaranteed

Candidates whose permanent address is within 80 miles of the facility are considered local and may be subject to a reduced bill rate
