Under the supervision of the Clinical Director and Director of ABA and Development, the Clinical Coordinator provides expertise and early intervention instruction to children and families enrolled in the California Early Start Program for the San Diego Regional Center and other funding sources.

Staff, children and their families receiving ABA services through Stars Therapy Services®. Clinical Coordinator will report performance of children during the evaluation process of each individual IFSP goal.
Case manages consumers receiving ABA Services
Conduct assessments and compose reports using the Development Assessment of Young Children (DAYC-2) and Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP)
Performs parent education sessions
Composes initial, progress and exit reports
Develop goals based on a child's development and have the ability to make clinical referrals for developmental and/or behavioral services
Performs direct Early Intervention Services (including Behavior Consults and Project ImPACT) with a caseload of children and their families, following Stars Therapy procedures. Ensures compliance with regulations and timelines in all aspects of the services including but not limited to the following:
Implementation of goals and objectives on IFSP in a variety of community settings, utilizing developmentally appropriate and effective practices.
Maintain accurate paperwork documentation and records of client files.
Demonstration of a family-centered philosophy, and respect for cultural diversity.
Maintains monthly billable hour requirement and meets contract fulfillment for assigned consumers
Responsible for supervision and training of field staff, specifically with training and monitoring the implementation of consumer programs
Attend and participate in staff meetings, training and in-services for Stars Therapy Services
Basic computer software such as: word, excel and powerpoint
Basic internet skills and appropriate internet practices
Writing, finding, saving and printing documents such as progress reports.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA compliance policies.
Complete administrative paperwork including, but not limited to: monthly schedules, mileage, etc.
Attends Social Groups, as assigned (including Saturdays)
Other duties as assigned based on company needs
Build strong partnerships with Stars staff, consumers and community service agencies
Use resources efficiently and wisely
Work flexible hours to meet program requirements
Willing to commute to various areas in San Diego county
M.A./M.S. degree in Education, Psychology, Child Development or related field preferred
5 years of experience in field related to area of specialty, ABA
Trained in Natural Environment Teaching (NET) required
Trained in Development Assessment of Young Children (DAYC-2) preferred
Hawaii Early Learning Profile (HELP) trainer preferred
Trained in Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, 3rd Edition (Vineland-3) preferred
Trained in the following preferred: Discrete Trial Training (DTT), Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), and Social Stories
Complete Stars Therapy Services Early Intervention Training Program
Proof of car insurance in employee's name and current address
Must be CPR Certified (Adult, child, infant, AED) & First Aid (CPR)/Basic Life Support (BSL)
Must be able to submit driver's license and fingerprints for background check
Must be able to submit verification of legal rights to work in the U.S. upon hire
Must be willing to work full-time 40 with some weekends as required
Physical Requirements: This position requires regular driving between service locations, walking, including walking up and down stairs, transitioning between sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day, moving quickly in response to consumer needs, and sitting for extended periods while providing services or completing documentation. The work environment may involve unpredictable consumer behavior and the need for prompt physical response. Applicants must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
