Generation Electric LLC is seeking an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Lead Electrical Service Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in residential and light commercial electrical service work, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to lead service technicians while delivering exceptional customer service. This position requires someone who can work independently, communicate professionally with customers, and maintain high standards of workmanship and safety.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot residential and light commercial electrical systems.
- Perform repairs, installations, upgrades, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
- Install and replace panels, breakers, switches, receptacles, lighting, ceiling fans, EV chargers, generators, surge protection, and other electrical equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
- Lead and mentor apprentice and service technicians.
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and company quality standards.
- Communicate repair options and recommendations clearly with customers.
- Complete work orders, service reports, and documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of residential electrical service experience.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.
- Thorough knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on ladders, in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoors.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Georgia Electrical License (preferred but not required).
- Experience with generators, EV chargers, service upgrades, and smart home installations.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Reliable Transportation to and from work.
- Valid Drivers License
