Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile compounded medications vials, following strict aseptic techniques to maintain sterility and safety.
- Maintain accurate documentation of medication preparation, labeling, and delivery to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Support patient service initiatives by providing clear communication regarding medication instructions and addressing patient inquiries when appropriate.
- Ensure adherence to USP 797 for aseptic technique, infection control, and medication safety during all compounding activities.
- Monitor inventory levels of sterile supplies and medications, restocking as needed to maintain readiness for critical care needs.
Qualifications
- Prior pharmacy technician experience with a focus on sterile compounding is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of category 3 compounding.
- Demonstrated understanding of medical terminology.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
- Registration as a pharmacy technician with Florida Board of pharmacy
Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour
