Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage a classroom effectively while providing love and nurturing tailored to the developmental needs of infants and toddlers under the age of 4. Must be flexible, self-motivated, and love young children!
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity, among the children.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns or achievements. We use the platform Brightwheel.
- Provide tender care for infants and toddlers and/or preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the school day.
- Maintain an organized Nursery/classroom that is conducive to learning and adheres to health and safety standards.
- Keep the Nursery/Classroom clean and sanitized at all times.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have completed at least 12 units of ECE and be able to provide transcripts. One class in Infant/Toddler Development is required. Would like at least 6 months experience and we will happily train you to fit on our team. We offer 75% off off childcare for one preschool aged child while working (you can bring your child to work with you!) Hours are 8:30 to 5:30 but are subject to change. Some paid after-hours activities required, but advance notice is given. Several perks include 2 weeks off with pay at Christmas and 1 week off at Easter and an amazing work atmosphere.
