We are looking for a few more Line Cooks, who will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items across various kitchen line stations, such as the grill, flat top, sauté, fry, and garmo. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized station, coordinating with other kitchen team members, and consistently executing dishes to meet restaurant standards. Line Cooks are also expected to adhere to all safety and sanitation guidelines
Essential Duties/Major Accountabilities:
- Food Preparation & Station Management
- Prepare and cook items in the assigned station according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain organization at your station, ensuring timely and consistent dish execution.
- Communicate with team members to coordinate timing and handle orders efficiently across the line.
- Station-Specific Responsibilities
- Wheel: Manage the plating and final check of each dish before it is sent out to the dining room, ensuring presentation and accuracy
- Grill: Cook meats and other items to specific temperatures and timing, ensuring quality.
- Flat Top: Manage multiple items simultaneously, focusing on consistency and timing.
- Sauté: Prepare dishes that require careful timing, such as pastas and sauces, ensuring freshness and flavor.
- Fry: Fry items with attention to oil temperature and cooking time for crispness and flavor.
- Garmo: Prepare cold dishes, salads, and garnishes, ensuring attractive presentation and freshness.
- Health, Safety, & Cleanliness
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, keeping your station clean and organized.
- Regularly sanitize surfaces and tools, ensuring a safe kitchen environment.
- Store and rotate ingredients properly to maintain quality and reduce waste.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and station-specific skills.
- Ability to follow recipes and maintain timing and quality at assigned stations.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a similar role in a restaurant.
- Ability to adapt to various stations, learning skills across grill, sauté, fry, flat top, garmo, and wheel.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour
