We’re hiring a part‑time Ready Mix Concrete Truck Driver to support evening and early‑morning deliveries across the Houston metro area. This role is ideal for an experienced mixer‑truck driver who wants steady supplemental hours without the full workload of a traditional ready‑mix schedule.
Schedule
- Part‑time: typically 2–4 shifts per week
- Evenings through early mornings, depending on customer demand
- Advance notice provided for schedule changes
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate a ready‑mix concrete truck for loading, transporting, and delivering concrete to job sites.
- Perform basic slump checks and unloading procedures appropriate for standard commercial pours.
- Complete delivery tickets and digital paperwork accurately.
- Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections to ensure the truck is safe and DOT‑compliant.
- Maintain Hours of Service logs in accordance with FMCSA requirements.
- Communicate with dispatch and plant personnel to support smooth, timely deliveries.
- Follow all company safety protocols and industry regulations.
Note: This part‑time role supports lower‑volume, scheduled work and does not require the full complexity or pace of high‑production, but applicant must be flexable to customer demand.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable ready‑mix (mixer truck) experience.
- Valid Class A or B CDL with a clean driving record.
- Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain).
- Familiarity with FMCSA compliance and Hours of Service logging.
- Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and alcohol testing.
- Strong safety awareness and basic mechanical aptitude.
- Must reside in the Houston metro area and be available for evening/early‑morning part‑time shifts.
