Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to lead the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems for heavy industrial lift manufacturing type equipment. You’ll be the technical lead ensuring every system is safe, efficient, and compliant with industry standards.
What You’ll Do
- Design & Develop: Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD.
- System Specification: Select and size VFDs, festoon systems, conductor bars, and safety limit switches.
- Engineering Logic: Perform load calculations and power sizing for motion and below-the-hook devices.
- Field Support: Lead the commissioning of new builds and retrofit projects, including VFD configuration and HMI testing.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose complex issues within motor control systems, communication networks, and limit devices.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all designs meet safety standards.
- Collaboration: Work alongside mechanical teams and field technicians to provide training and technical guidance.
What You Bring
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 3–7 years specifically in overhead high lift design, installation, or maintenance.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of CMAA classifications, motor control systems (conveyors, hoists and lifts), and VFDs.
- Hands-on Skills: Proficiency in reading/interpreting electrical schematics and working with conductor bars and radio remote controls.
