Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Press Brake Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating a press brake machine to bend and shape sheet metal with precision and efficiency. Duties
- Set up and operate a CNC press brake machine, ensuring accurate bending of sheet metal according to technical drawings and blueprints
- Program CNC press brakes using CAD/CAM software to optimize production runs and reduce waste
- Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications for precise fabrication
- Conduct tooling setup, measurement, and calibration using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to guarantee quality standards
- Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with team members on sheet metal fabrication projects involving CNC laser cutting, CNC milling machines, welding, and assembly processes
- Ensure compliance with safety standards in production environments by following proper procedures for press operation, crane handling, and tool usage
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency in CNC programming and familiarity with CAD/CAM software tools
- Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication techniques including , laser cutting and welding
- Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement tools for quality control
- Familiarity with safety standards related to machining equipment operation, crane handling, and manufacturing environments
- Basic math skills for measurement calculations and process adjustments
- Experience with tooling setup, fabrication hand tools, and quality inspection procedures
