System Integration Technician

Monday through Friday – 8am to 5pm
$44.42hr to $68.26hr depending on experience.
A company regarded by commercial, government, military, and scientific communities as one of the world’s pre-eminent suppliers of high-precision antenna positioning systems and components for a vast array of antenna, optical and sensor systems is seeking a System Integration Technician to join their team in Northridge.
Summary: This role supports the electrical design and integration of advanced antenna, optical, and sensor systems. The technician will work closely with engineering teams to assist in system design, hardware integration, electrical assembly, testing, and troubleshooting across complex servo, processor, and pedestal-mounted systems.
Responsibilities:
- Support the electrical design team through all stages of the engineering lifecycle, from concept through testing and production.
- Assist with detailed system design, including harnessing, cabling, and circuit board integration (e.g., CABU W6 ANS boards).
- Integrate electrical subsystems within antenna positioning platforms and associated sensor systems.
- Perform assembly, wiring, and integration of electrical components including connectors, harnesses, and cabling.
- Conduct testing and validation of digital and analog circuits used in pedestal mount, servo, and processor systems.
- Support fabrication and verification of system hardware and prototype assemblies.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and integration issues in a timely and structured manner.
- Gather and analyze technical information to support problem-solving and system optimization.
- Participate in cross-functional engineering troubleshooting efforts.
- Coordinate and track tasks across multiple phases of product development and project execution.
- Work closely with engineers, technicians, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful integration and testing milestones.
- Research component obsolescence and recommend viable replacement components or design updates.
- Maintain awareness of component availability and supply chain considerations.
- Respond promptly to internal and external customer requirements.
- Assist with gathering feedback to improve product performance and service quality.
Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability engineering environments.
- Solid understanding of digital and analog electronics theory and applications.
- Familiarity with electronics design tools such as:
- OrCAD Schematic Capture.
- FPGA design and development tools.
- AutoCAD. (a plus)
- Experience with:
- Analog circuit design. (filters, signal conditioning, A/D and D/A converters)
- Digital design using CPLD or FPGA, including Verilog.
- High-voltage power supply applications.
- Microcontroller or microprocessor COTS product integration.
- Component lifecycle and obsolescence research.
