Human Resources Business Partner
A multi-state human services organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to support approximately 1,000 employees across 24 states.

Location: Ellsworth, ME (hybrid)
Compensation: $70,000 - $80,000
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 8:00am–4:30pm
Type: Direct-Hire
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a primary HR resource and liaison for assigned employees and business leaders
- Provide guidance to managers on HR policies, procedures, and employee-related matters
- Address routine employee relations concerns and escalate complex matters when appropriate
- Coordinate performance evaluations and employee engagement initiatives
- Maintain HR compliance documentation for regulatory audits and licensing visits
- Review and process new hires, transfers, suspensions, personnel changes, and terminations
- Audit employee data and weekly personnel changes for accuracy within the HRIS
- Manage workers’ compensation incidents in partnership with the appropriate internal team
- Maintain employee rosters, job descriptions, and required acknowledgments
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to monitor and update open-position reports
- Facilitate affiliate-specific welcome meetings for new employees
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of direct Human Resources experience required
- Experience supporting employees across multiple states is required
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Human Resources preferred
- SHRM or HRCI certification preferred
- Ability to handle sensitive employee matters with discretion
- Experience in human services, behavioral health, residential services, intellectual and developmental disability services, or another highly regulated environment is a plus
- Nonprofit HR experience is also preferred
