Position: Director of Quality Location: Cary, Illinois
Coilcraft, Inc. is a privately held global manufacturer headquartered in Cary, Illinois, with a worldwide reputation for high-quality magnetic components used in telecommunications, computing, automotive, broadband communications, and consumer electronics. We are seeking an experienced quality leader to drive quality strategy, compliance, and continuous improvement across our global manufacturing organization. This role will partner with executive leadership, engineering, operations, and customers to ensure our products and processes continue to meet the highest standards worldwide.

Lead quality strategy and continuous improvement across a global multi-site manufacturing organization

Promote a culture of quality and operational excellence throughout the company

Establish quality objectives and ensure compliance targets are achieved

Partner with engineering, operations, and purchasing to define product and supplier quality requirements

Ensure compliance with national and international quality standards and applicable regulations

Develop and maintain quality systems, procedures, controls, and documentation

Analyze quality performance metrics and drive corrective and preventive actions

Lead internal quality audits and coordinate customer and third-party audits

Develop and deliver quality-related training across the organization
-
Supervise quality personnel and foster cross-functional collaboration

Serve as the primary liaison for customer quality concerns and corrective actions

Prepare statistical reports and communicate quality performance to leadership

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent; MBA preferred

10–15 years of progressive quality leadership experience
-
5+ years leading quality systems in an ISO/TS16949 environment
-
Manufacturing experience required

Strong knowledge of quality systems, auditing, and continuous improvement methodologies

Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

Experience presenting quality metrics and driving organizational change

Experience reviewing, negotiating, and administering customer and supplier quality agreements or contracts is a plus.

Expertise with ISO 14001, RoHS, REACH, Halogen, and related environmental standards

Experience working with global suppliers and international manufacturing operations

Strong statistical analysis and data presentation skills

Customer-facing quality management experience
