Overview
Zenshin Fitness is a private strength-training studio seeking a dedicated Personal Trainer to join our team. We focus on individualized coaching, progressive overload, and long-term results using power racks, dumbbells, cable machines, cable systems, and other resistance-based equipment.
Our client base includes a wide range of individuals, including older adults and clients with orthopedic limitations, chronic conditions, and other special considerations. Experience working with these populations is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct fitness assessments and consultations
- Design and deliver personalized strength-focused programs
- Coach proper form and technique during one-on-one and two-on-one sessions
- Track client progress and adjust programs as needed
- Use our fitness app to program and record workouts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive training environment
- Communicate effectively with clients and prospective clients
- Process client payments and assist with basic front-desk responsibilities as needed
- Work independently and maintain professionalism when the studio owner is not present
Skills & Qualifications
- Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT preferred; other NCCA-accredited certifications accepted)
- Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or a related field preferred, but not required with relevant coaching experience
- Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and movement mechanics
- Experience programming for a variety of fitness levels
- Experience working with older adults and/or special populations is a strong plus
- Confident discussing services with prospective clients
- Excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others
- Self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable working autonomously
Compensation
- $30/hour for all client-facing work (50-minute sessions + 10-minute paid buffer = 1 paid hour)
- $20/hour for non-client-facing tasks such as program writing
Join Our Team
Trainer schedules may include early mornings, evenings, and weekends. This position will begin with a lighter schedule as we gradually build your client load, so candidates should be comfortable with a flexible schedule, potential gaps between sessions, and a gradual ramp-up in hours.
